OFFSET/TRADITIONAL PRINTING

A printing technique whereby ink is spread on a metal or polyester plate with etched images, then transferred to an intermediary surface such as a rubber blanket, and finally applied to paper by pressing the paper against the intermediary surface. Offset printing is typically used to produce:

• large volumes of high-quality doucuments

• when specific colors need to be utilized (ie specific PMS colors)

• when there are large flat areas of color (not always but this produces a smoother print)

Camelot Print and Copy Center / Copy A Second can produce either Full Color (4-color process) or 1-2 color spot (PMS) documents.

Is Offset right for your project?
Although offset printing can produce better quality, offers a larger variety of paper stocks, and can be more cost effective at higher print runs, it may not be the right choice for you.. Click on the button below to see the difference in processes.
